Isabel was conceived at Melbourne Australia. Isabel's father is Australian, and her mother Swiss. Her family was from Cairns, Australia. They resided at Cairns Australia. Together with Nina, her younger sister Nina she was a student at schools that included First Nations children as well as other children of different cultures. Isabel lives with her family in Byron Bay NSW Australia. Isabel has been involved in drama from her early primary school days. Then, she studied drama in Queensland University of Technology at the Victorian College of Arts. She did not audition for the roles she was interested in until her agent discovered her in 2002. The audition was for the role of Home and Away, 1988. Though they did not think she was the right role for her, producers were still satisfied with her performance and decided to assign Tasha another part.
